Poverty and Social Status in Paul's Churches: Prospects for a Demography of Pauline Mission
Professor Steve Friesen is an Associate Professor of Religious Studies at the University of Missouri at Columbia. He received his liberal arts education at Fresno Pacific College (BA) and completed his seminary degree at Fuller Theological Seminary (MDiv) before undertaking doctoral studies in the specialization of New Testament and Christian Origins (AM, PhD). Prof. Friesen is the author of Imperial Cults and the Apocolypse of John: Reading Revelation in the Ruins and Twice Neokoros: Ephesus, Asia, and the Cult of the Flavian Imperial Family. He is the editor of Ancestors in Post-Contact Religion: Roots, Ruptures, and Modernity’s Memory.
