Monique Bedasse, an assistant professor of history, is a scholar whose work crosses national boundaries, retracing the paths taken by people in the African diaspora. Her new book is Jah Kingdom: Rastafarians, Tanzania, and Pan-Africanism in the Age of Decolonization. In anticipation of her upcoming faculty book talk at Olin Library on March 5, we sat down with Bedasse to talk about Rastafarian politics, Tanzania, and the body as archive in historical research.
